Not quiet sure when we should do RN of Britisch Citizenship, read this can be done in advance but dont want to be withour a pass for too long, still have an elderly mother in the UK, where they may be a need to go over at short notice.
Any Advice ?

Dear Stuart, different provinces handle the matter differently. My case was for Vienna – Vorarlberg may have a different line to Vienna. You could ask whether the renunciation is expected prior to your Austrian citizenship being conferred. Passport issuing turn around time is quick here – I had my Austrian passport within days of my citizenship ceremony (they asked me to bring up-to-date photos and took my fingerprints while I waited for my ceremony).
